How is a diagnosis of vertigo is done?


Vertigo is a symptom and not a disease. Often rather than finding exact cause it is often assumed to be caused by Bp, Cervical, or Diabetes problem

Often Vertigo is just treated symptomatically and so after temporary relief, it keeps on resurfacing every now and then leading to loss of confidence.

Some people may be given medicines to suppress the sensation of spinning as emergency treatment, but the diagnosis of the root cause is important to direct the correct long term treatment which may include the following:

• Vestibular rehabilitation

• Canalith repositioning maneuvers

• Medicine
